Make your 2017 election [non] campaign part of New Zealand’s historical record by donating your electioneering material to the Hocken Collections.

Since 1966 staff of the Hocken Collections (part of the University of Otago Library) have been actively collecting general election ephemera from political parties and candidates. This material is a rich source for researchers of New Zealand politics and we want to continue developing this collection.

We know that the coming weeks will be a busy time for you – so all that we are asking now is that you keep aside a sample of all of your 2017 campaign brochures, flyers, stickers, posters, etc to send to us after the election. You are most welcome to send us material at any time (we would prefer physical copies if possible please).

We will send you a reminder after the election.

It is important that all parties, candidates and views are represented in our collections and that material for the full political spectrum is available for researchers in the future.

Help us to make sure your [non] party and its political views are represented.

Thank you and best wishes for your [non] campaign.
